Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to provide consultation, support and expertise in the development and implementation of strategies and processes in direct support of the instructional mission of the College and to provide the necessary evaluation and assessment of technical, fiscal and operational effectiveness of the various programs and processes and recommend/implement those changes that are needed in order to better meet the needs of our students and of the College and its academic department and degree programs.

The ITC will analyze and research existing practices and propose, develop, and implement new systems in order to enhance the student experience and improve daily operations in the College of Business. The ITC will work directly with senior level administrators and decision-makers in the College of Business on an ongoing basis to discuss, evaluate, and implement alternative solutions to operational processes, fiscal, and technical challenges. It is critical that the individual selected to fill this position comprehend existing organizational platforms from the perspective of an end-user, a business analyst, and a technical analyst. This inclusive knowledge will allow the ITC the ability to recognize issues in the instructional and technology aspects of the College but also give him/her the context for which new methodologies/processes may be applied to address those issues.

Knowledge of business and instructional operating systems and computer languages will be essential to the position. The coordinator will be expected to maintain an advanced understanding of university operational and fiscal guidelines and restrictions so that he/she may identify and propose practices that will benefit student instruction.

The ITC for the College of Business will:
Research technological changes to determine the impact and integration with existing standards
Investigate, research, and implement new technologies in specialty or related areas
Create, modify, and/or build processes and management information systems customized to the COB and the needs of its students
Coordinate process and operational analysis between College of Business administration, faculty, staff, students, and constituencies external to the College
Serve as a resource to departments external to the COB as requested
Identify opportunities for purchases benefiting instructional technologies, student retention, and process improvement
Train COB faculty, staff, and students on new processes/methodologies/protocols. Select appropriate information and best method or format for presentations either visually, in writing, or verbally.
Research, recommend, and implement new technology systems and delivery methodologies and serve as an internal resource in these areas.
Serve on College of Business and university committees.
Be involved with complex projects involving multiple employees in specialty areas, departments, and functions across the university.

Minimum Qualifications: The preferred qualifications for the position include a master's degree in business or a discipline closely related to the responsibilities of the position. A candidate with a baccalaureate degree and at least two years of directly related experience will be considered. Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or related field. Hands-on experience with SQL, SharePoint, Banner, and Business Intelligence Software is desirable. All degrees should be from appropriately accredited institutions.
